Types of High-Temperature Grate Systemss Available
Reciprocating Grates
These grates move back and forth, either pushing the fuel forward (push type), pushing it in alternating directions (inverse push type), or rolling it (rolling type).
Chain Grates
These grates consist of a continuous chain of grate bars that move slowly, carrying the fuel through the combustion chamber.
Stationary Grates
While not a moving type, stationary grates are used in grate-type incinerators, especially for large, irregular waste.
